Convert passport photo inches to pixels
Pixels = inches × DPI. Because a paper US passport photo is 2 inches square, multiply your intended DPI by 2 for both width and height. The calculator above does that instantly. At 300 DPI the result is 600×600 pixels; at 600 DPI it is 1200×1200 pixels.
DPI describes print density, not whether the face, background, lighting, or expression meets the rules. The State Department asks for a high-resolution print but does not publish one required DPI number for a newly printed paper photo.
What the free passport size photo maker changes
